The thrill of soaring over beautiful Traverse City and onward to Sleeping Bear dunes was absolutely incredible! No photo can do justice to what amazing beauty you will see from up above! My family had so much fun and will never forget the experience!Jenny
The entire tour was wonderful but the best part was watching the excitement on my Grandson’s face. Our pilot, Brian, was great. Very personable and professional. Definitely will go again.Shirley B., TripAdvisor
From beginning to end the trip was perfect. The pilot was very nice and calm and made the experience relaxing. During the trip he gave great insight into the area, but also gave you time to just sit and enjoy the view in silence. From the take off to the landing everything felt very smooth. I would definitely recommend and would love to fly again.Alicia M., TripAdvisor
Everything was so professional and amazing. The prices were good, the chopper was clean, and the whole experience was totally unforgettable! I will definitely be doing this again in the future.Joshua H., TripAdvisor

My wife and I decided to take a helicopter ride for our 11 year anniversary. This was my first time ever in the air and it was a blast. Would and can't wait to do it again. Definitely going to try a color tour in the fall. The Pilot was very professional and was great at showing us the City and the Bays and at the same time was able to joke around and make everybody feel at ease while flying.Matthew B., Google
What a cool opportunity! If you are in the area, book a flight. The ride was smooth along with the landing. We did this for a 30th anniversary experience.Scott G., TripAdvisor
Absolutely a MUST do trip! The views were stunning. Our trip was Sleeping Bear, Northport, Suttons Bay, and Traverse City. If we mentioned wanting to see something (our house) the pilot flew a little lower and helped us locate it. The staff helping us book the trip was great—we needed to adjust time and everything worked out beautifully. The pilot was clearly enjoying his work and was both knowledgable and personable.Cynthia V., TripAdvisor
Surprised my boyfriend with a helicopter tour for his birthday and it was amazing! Everyone was so nice and it was such a beautiful view! I highly recommend booking here if you’re in Traverse City!Stephanie S., Google
We booked a fall color tour ride up through Old Mission Peninsula, it was absolutely incredible. The whole team and staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and the ride and scenery were breathtaking. 10 out of 10!Brian F., TripAdvisor
My husband and I went on our first helicopter ride for our anniversary to see the fall colors! TC Helicopters was amazing from start to finish. The staff and pilot were all super friendly and very accommodating! They let us change our flight package so we could see some aerial views of Torch and Elk Lake. It was all so breathtaking! My husband and I plan on returning next year with our two small children to take the longer flight to Sleeping Bear Dunes! It was the best money we spent on our vacation and will definitely be back again!Monica E., TripAdvisor
We had a good time doing a landscape & lighthouse photo shoot out towards Sleeping Bear Dunes in the fall! Our pilot was a former Coast Guard pilot. It was an honor to have him fly us after serving our country for 20 years.Joy, Google
We want you to make the most of your flight. Check out some of our frequently asked questions so you're ready to take flight!
What time of day is visibility best for tours?
Welcome to paradise! Traverse City enjoys beautiful weather mornings, afternoons, and evenings. So the real question is, “When do you want to fly?” Of course, we do keep our eye constantly on the weather reports to make sure your helicopter flight is the best possible experience.
Is photography allowed?
Not only is photography allowed, it’s encouraged! You’ll see Northern Michigan like you’ve never seen it before!
How should I dress for my flight?
The temperature aboard the helicopter is very comfortable during flights—t-shirts, shorts or pants are just fine. Please note that hats are not allowed on board your flight. Your hat might blow off your head and fly up into the rotors and that is very unsafe. You may leave any hats in the office during our flight.
Do you guarantee that we will see every site listed on the tour?
We try to fly over every landmark listed on your selected tour. However, flying in a helicopter is not as simple as watching a movie. Once in a while we have to contend with poor visibility, strong winds, or other weather that may prevent us from taking our normal route. We will do our best to cover the listed landmarks as well as accommodate any requests that you may have.
